Jim & Jeff's Big Adventure

This afternoon about 4:40, Lord willing, Jeff and I will take off from Atlanta-Hartsfield on our way to the Czech Republic. We have a two hour layover in Amsterdam and should land at Prague Ruzyne Airport tomorrow morning at 10:45 local time. The Czech Republic is at GMT +4 which puts it six hours ahead of Eastern US time. I'll post when I can, but I am not sure when that will be right now. Higgins and Jernigan traveling together - pray for the Czech Republic!

Good day, Pastor Higgins,

I'm the retiree who confirmed about six months ago that you were the person that wrote about the troops standing at attention in Iraq during the Movie Spiderman 3, an inspiring story.

I created a page for your story and added a photo of Obama at a Iowa fund raiser, where he had his hands by his side while looking off into a field at the same time the National Anthem played. (I had sent the URL to you in case you wanted any changes.)

Obama said after the picture was posted by TIME that one didn't need to put their hand over their heart to show patriotism. Today you know he is surrounded by American flags and wears a pin during the debates, and uses the flag in his personal logo, which is on his leased airplane.

Now read a brand new link from Drudge tonight on the same Anthum along with the pledge being dropped from an Obama event a few days ago for time constraints while Obama was in New Hampshire.

Also now view the just released video of Gadhafi's comments on Obama's running, run on Al-Jazeera in June. It is chilling for a man who is going to lead our troops.

Finally, see my picture of Obama in Iowa placed side by side with Willian Ayers from the Chicago Tribune. The two pictures are stunning, as if one the mentor and the other the student.

I didn't mean to bother you. It is just that your story is an antitheis to what I am seeing in a man who would be president.

To review, I had mentioned my father had served on Okinawa in 1944, later in life buried at Arlington. My son, who had an early release from the Marines via ADHD, served in Afghanstan and become friends with some freedom fighters, now living in Tennessee.

Best regards, and I wish you the best. Please check on the Spartenburg First Baptist Church and its minister, raised from a tough life in South African.

PS, If you have concerns you want to share with another in the military, I have an excellent contact with a Brig. General for almost a year now, who served in the Air Force. I'm sure he would love to hear your story, as I have shared your page on my site with him.

Finally, if interested see my war with the local Asheville Citizen Times that stepped on a NC hero, Speers, a medic who was killed in Iraq in 2002 by the teenage terrorist mentioned recently by AP, a story that also avoided giving Speer's heroism the week before his death. Speers left a wife and two children. I contacted the VFW in Washington DC in hopes they would scold the newspaper. I heard nothing in return.
